Do you or someone you love have a problem with hoarding? Hoarding is a complex issue that can affect the whole family. It’s not about the ‘stuff’, but, rather, getting to the root of the reasons behind it. The Valley Area Agency on Aging (VAAA) presents, “Strategies for Working with Individuals Who Exhibit a Hoarding Behavior.” Experts from the Washtenaw County Hoarding Task Force will be on hand to:
- Convey a basic understanding of the complexities of Hoarding Disorder
- Identify best practices in working with individuals who exhibit a hoarding behavior using a harm reduction model
- Identify legal strategies that can be used to help individuals with Hoarding Disorder preserve their housing.
