How many times have you thought about volunteering but struggle with knowing how and where you can serve? There’s no better time to take that first step. Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of Genesee, Lapeer & Shiawassee Counties, sponsored by Valley Area Agency on Aging, has announced its next volunteer informational session. RSVP matches volunteers with dozens of local organizations allowing you make an impact where it’s needed most. Several organizations will be on hand to answer your volunteer questions. No obligation to join.

Informational Session will be held on: February 28, 2019 at 2pm at: Valley Area Agency on Aging. 225 E 5th St, Flint, MI 48502. Call to reserve a seat: 810-249-0820. Light refreshments will be served.

Volunteer opportunities include:

  • Mentoring/tutoring children
  • Adult Literacy mentor/tutor
  • Assisting at soup kitchens and food pantries
  • Friendly visits to lonely and/or isolated seniors/respite for caregivers,
  • Transporting seniors and Veterans to medical appointments
  • And much, much more!
