The information that you enter on our website, we receive and store. You may choose not to provide certain information, but this will limit your ability to make donations on valleyaaa.org, submit information requests, or sign up for events. If you make a donation to valleyaaa.org, your contact information will be used to communicate related information, such as donation confirmation, requests for more information, and to facilitate the processing of your donation or any questions you may have. You may opt-out of these communications by canceling your donation and or sending an email to [email protected]. We may use contact information from the “Information request and Referral” form, if you choose, to send you agency-related information and to inform you of special events. If you receive a non-donation related email and you do not want to receive such emails in the future, notify us by sending an email to [email protected] with a subject line reading “Unsubscribe” and type your email address into the body of said email. You will then be removed from the mailing list as soon as possible. We obtain information about you when you make a donation, request information, or refer a person to VAAA.  The typical information collected includes name, address, and phone numbers; credit card information; people who make donations, including addresses and phone number; e-mails to us; and any other personal information that you provide to us or post on the website.  

 

Automatic Information Collection: 

When you request information or make a referral, we will receive and store information that you provide or that is generated by your actions. For example, like many websites, we use “cookies,” which are placed on your computer (explained in more detail below) The received information we can determine from full interaction with our website includes your Internet (IP) address; e-mail address; web browser type and version; operating system and computer platform; cookie number and areas of our website you visited. We also may log the length of time of your visit and the number of times you visit and donations made to us.  

 

E-mail Communications: 

We may receive a confirmation when you open any e-mail that we send to you, if your computer supports such capabilities. If you send us any email, we will retain such email and your email address for response.

Said companies and individuals will have access to personal information needed to perform said tasks, but they are not permitted to use such information for other purposes without permission from valleyaaa.org.

We may send notices of upcoming events on behalf of valleyaaa.org if we believe that you may be interested in receiving these notices. If, after receiving a non-donation related email, you do not want to receive such emails in the future, you can notify us of your desire to unsubscribe by email.  

 

Legal Requirements

 We may release your account and/or personal information if we believe release is deemed necessary to comply with the law, in enforcement of our privacy policy and other agreements, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of valleyaaa.org, our users, or others. Said information may be released or exchanged with other companies and organizations in order to protect against fraud. Valleyaaa.org must cooperate with law enforcement and judicial authorities and may provide personal information to government authorities when given a subpoena or court order, or in order to cooperate with a law enforcement investigation. Valleyaaa.org reserves the right to report to law enforcement agencies activities that we believe are illegal.  

 

Security for information storage by Valleyaaa.org

During transmission of your information to our website, we will always use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which will encrypt the information you input. We reveal only the last four digits of your credit card number when confirming an order, credit card information is then stored encrypted in our database where we then retrieve the information for credit card processing. Anyone who has access to your computer may be able to access our website and conduct transactions in your name but they will not have access to any credit card information because this information is not stored in an accessible way. We do not have the ability to know exactly who has access to your computer, or to your credit card information or those who have been authorized to use said computer or information. Therefore, you will be held responsible for any transactions made in your name by persons with access to your computer or credit card number.  

 

Choosing to Opt-Out

You will always have the opportunity to choose not to provide information. If you do make the choice not to provide information, we may not have enough information to process your donation or help you with information requests. If you choose to update any information that we store about you, Valleyaaa.org may retain a copy of said previous information for record keeping purposes. If you receive a non-order related email and do not want to receive said emails in the future, you can notify us by emailing the request to [email protected]  

 

We Reserve the Right to Change These Terms

Whether you have viewed our privacy policies or not, those policies will still completely govern any use of Valleyaaa.org. We reserve the right to update and/or change these privacy policies at any time and from time to time, as we deem appropriate. It is your responsibility to regularly review this privacy policy for changes and/or updates.  

 

Use of Valleyaaa.org by Children 

Valleyaaa.org does not condone donations made by minors.  People under the age of 18 may use valleyaaa.org only with the consent or involvement of parent or legal guardian.
