Our certified Resource Specialists are here to assist older adults (60+), individuals with disabilities, and family caregivers in Genesee, Shiawassee, and Lapeer Counties. We can also connect you with agencies and services throughout Michigan if needed.
We provide information and referrals for:
- Food resources and programs
- Long-term care programs (including eligibility and availability)
- Access to transportation services
- Personal, chore and respite care
- Housing resources
- And much more
Depending on your needs, we can mail you a customized list of services, tip sheets, and other helpful materials from our resource directory. You can also fill out an online form to receive information by email.
There is no cost for our services, though donations are welcome to help us continue supporting our mission and seniors in our community.
To provide the best support, we may ask for basic information about income and health status. Valley Area Agency on Aging is HIPAA compliant, and all information is kept strictly confidential.
